In this session, Velvet Kitten Choreographer Jana Edele, will teach an original burlesque dance to a workshop of six lucky students. In addition to learning the choreography, stage make-up, hair and costuming will be discussed.
About Our Classes
The Velvet Kittens offer a variety of classes and workshops based in burlesque and stylized dance. All classes incorporate technical aspects from jazz, ballet, modern and even hip-hop into the Velvet Kittens’ unique style influenced by their classical dance background.

You already knew that Cafe Rembrandt is the place to catch the Velvet Kittens free burlesque shows, but did you also know that they also have an impressive beer menu and scrumptious bar food like cheese soufflé (think mozzarella sticks, but refined) and teeny beef croquettes called bitter balls? The food is almost as mouth-watering as Mimi Rockafellar’s long legs. But, you’ll have to show up in person to see for yourself.

Café Rembrandt Brings Free Burlesque Shows Twice a Month to Their Dutch Pub

Now Café Rembrandt in Dallas is more than a just a place to grab authentic Dutch food, it's home to the Velvet Kittens of Le Cabaret Burlesque. Due to an overwhelming response to the Velvet Kittens' engaging live stage shows, Café Rembrandt decided to make it official with the vaudevillian burlesque troupe by signing them on to bring their 90-minute revue shows to the blossoming Dutch Pub. Café Rembrandt is the only venue in Dallas to offer full burlesque revues regularly, without any cover charges or pricey tickets.
If you cannot attend this Aug 1st show, don’t pout! There other shows planned Saturday, August 23rd and Saturday, September 6th!

The Velvet Kittens of Le Cabaret Burlesque Present Candy Land: A Night of Sweets, a Vaudevillian Show Benefiting North Texas Children in Need
Dallas, Texas — December 17, 2007 — Although their salacious shows are for mature audiences, The Velvet Kittens of Le Cabaret Burlesque hope to bring holiday cheer to some North Texas children this holiday season.
On Saturday, December 22 at 9 p.m., The Velvet Kittens will conduct a toy drive benefiting local children in need at their up-coming show, Candy Land: a Night of Sweets, at Café Rembrandt in Dallas, Texas. This full-length vaudevillian show will star The Velvet Kittens of Le Cabaret Burlesque and feature singing, dancing and comedy from local artists.
The Velvet Kittens of Le Cabaret Burlesque is the new troupe from the original choreographer of The Red Light Revue from Downtown Fort Worth. Consisting of stand-up comics and classically-trained dancers and singers, the troupe recreates vintage nightclub entertainment for a modern audience.
The Velvet Kittens have performed at The House of Blues Dallas, Obar, The Dallas Museum of Art, The Dallas Hub Theater, Hyena's Comedy Nightclub, 6th Lounge in Austin and other theaters and bars throughout the Dallas Forth Worth area. The Velvet Kittens also appeared on Big Dick Hunter's Wild Ass Circus for Live 105.3 FM at Café Rembrandt.
Hunter describes the Velvet Kittens as "in tune with the bygone era of cabaret," despite being "a collection of twenty-something bombshells born during the Reagan Administration." And as for their reception at Café Rembrandt, Hunter adds, "The voluminous applause and the rousing ovations that they receive [could] cause Ed Meese to weep."

My Lifetime Commitment: Every Woman Counts is an award-winning, nonpartisan, public advocacy campaign to encourage women to get more engaged in the political process as voters and future candidates. Launched in 1992, the effort has evolved into a multiplatform initiative comprised of on-air, online, digital, community and legislative components, including original PSAs, polling, candidate forums, candidate trainings, special events at the political conventions and voter registration efforts, in partnership with celebrities, bipartisan political leaders and key community and industry organizations. Next year, 2008, will mark the campaign's 5th presidential election cycle.
The Every Woman Counts campaign:
