Beginning in December the Velvet Kittens will be offering a new burlesque class: Burlesque Body Sculpt.
We will also be offering a free weekly intro class at the Verandah Club in Dallas. Read on for a description of our new class, and click here for our December weekly class schedule.
~Burlesque Body Sculpt is the newest addition to the Velvet Kittens' dance-fitness curriculum. Sculpt your body to a dancer's physique! Work most all the major muscle groups, build strength and stamina, and improve flexibility and coordination by using classical and contemporary dancer exercises and incorporating burlesque basics dance movement in this tone-and-tease dance class designed by the VK.
Burlesque Body Sculpt is a fantastic, fun, and exciting approach to dance-fitness, toning and strengthening, and getting a head start on your resolutions!
Burlesque Body Sculpt is only available at the Verandah Club in Dallas, and offered exclusively as a signature class designed by the Velvet Kittens of Le Cabaret Burlesque.~

The Naughty and Nice Vixen Workshop from the Vixen Series begins next week at Hyena's Comedy Club (605 Houston St, Fort Worth TX 76102), and travels throughout DFW thru December!!!
Sign up for Session I (Dec. 1 and 8, 7:30 - 8:30 pm), or Session II (Dec. 15, 7:00 - 9:00 pm).
The workshop is $35.00.
December Specials: Sign-up and attend with one or more friend and each student receives the discounted rate of $25.00 per person.
We will also extend the December Special price to those who bring one unwrapped toy to donate to the Brandon Bass' Reach Back Foundation.

Velvet Kittens' Toy Drive

Our annual toy drive charity show, Candyland: A Night of Sweets, is December 19th at the Stone Cottage Theatre (15650 Addison Road, Addison, TX 75001).
MBS Productions will also be collecting toys for us during their run of The Beulaville Baptist Book Club Presents: A Bur-less-Q Nutcracker, running November 27 - December 27th also at the Stone Cottage Theatre. MBS will begin collecting toys this evening at the opening of their annual Burlesque Nutcracker theater production. This is only a collection location. Please check their schedule if you would like to donate a toy at this location.
We will also accept toys at all of our classes and workshops.
All toys collected go to Dallas Mavericks' Brandon Bass Reach Back Foundation for distribution.
We will be adding additional donation locations.

For the month of December we are offering a special holiday burlesque workshop throughout DFW, the Vixen Series. With the hectic holiday season, this is a great way to participate in a burlesque class without the monthly obligation of attendance. For the Vixen Series we are offering a December Discount Special: The Buddy System. Sign-up and attend with one or more of your friends, and receive a discounted workshop rate.
We will also be continuing our drop-in classes at the Verandah Club in Dallas. We are currently offering Burlesque Basics, and will be adding new classes and times to the schedule beginning in December.

The Kitten Vixen
In this introductory session of our Vixen Workshop Series we present one of our most popular Velvet Kitten Dancer numbers: If Loving You is Wrong.
This VK exclusive dance teases and pleases with the playful seduction of the Kittens signature style! In a slow and sultry fashion, this VK favorite dresses you up in a white button-up shirt, tie, bowler hat…then slowly dresses you down.
Additional props used in this workshop dance: cane and chair. This sensual burlesque dance is purrfect for anyone feeling a little mischievous and kittenish!
(The If Loving You is Wrong choreography is the artistic property of the VK, solely available through the Velvet Kittens, and is also a standard in our repertoire.)

We are inviting our students from The Kitten Vixen workshop to perform with us on stage at our next show, Candyland! Performing with us is an invitation you may decline, and is not mandatory for attendance in these workshops. It's an opportunity for you to show off your kittenish Vixen if you so chose!

The Burlesque Nutcracker is back!!!

The MBS Production of The Beulaville Baptist Book Club Presents: A Bur-less-Q Nutcracker opens this Friday and runs thru December 27 at the Stone Cottage Theatre (15650 Addison Road, Addison, TX 75001).
This play broke all attendance & box office records & garnered a Column Award nomination for "Best New Play of the Year, 2008".
The women of the Beulaville Baptist Book Club are in dire straits financially, and as a last ditch attempt to save their book club they decide to do a fundraiser and hire the Beaumont Ballet to perform Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker". Madge's Piña Colada Casserole unfortunately sickens the entire cast with food poisoning and they are unable to perform. Luckily, there is another dance troop in town. It seems the Velvet Kittens Burlesque Dancers are stuck in Beulaville because their van broke down on their way to New Orleans. Madge has never heard of Burlesque, or as she pronounces it "Bur-less-Q", and in an act of necessity hires the dance troupe to do "The Nutcracker". The result? The most original, unusual, and comical Nutcracker you've ever seen!
This year's added twist: The book club women, also fall ill to Madge's culinary disasters, so their husbands & boyfriends take over…in drag!
Be sure to buy your tickets early! Last year they sold out quite a few shows and were turning people away at the door! And yes! They do open the weekend of Thanksgiving…so escape the relatives and have a good laugh!
