It's the final weekend of the 6th Annual Modern Dance Festival at the Modern. Closing out this weekend is the performance of The Butterfly Effect and Other Beautiful Catastrophes, collaboration between Austin composer William H. Meadows and choreographer Kerry Kreiman and CD/FW members. Performances are Saturday and Sunday (August 1 and 2), at 1pm and 3pm in the Grand Lobby. Dance on Camera: Dance Shorts (short films) will be presented Saturday August 1st at 2pm in the auditorium. Visit CD/FW

And of course, Saturday night see the premier of the Velvet Kittens' new burlesque extravaganza, Burning Love (a tribute to the King!) at Rembrandt's Dutch Pub. Inhibition check begins at 10:00 pm, and show follows immediately after. No cover.
