Taylor Stewart
Dance Faculty/Choreographer
Ms. Stewart began her classical training with Hugh Nini of Denton Ballet Academy. She is trained in the Vaganova method and received the privilege of traveling to the south of France for to study ballet with Mme. Villers of the Paris Opera Ballet. She attended college at SMU and received her BFA in Dance Performance in 2008 where she studied vernacular jazz, Graham, and Balanchine techniques.
Ms. Stewart has performed professionally with The Festival Ballet of North Central Texas and is currently dancing with Contemporary Ballet of Dallas. She continuously teaches ballet and the jazz forms in reputable ballet studios in the metroplex. Her professional experience includes concert dance, TV, and theatrical shows as a dancer, actor, and choreographer. Ms. Stewart performs in the Velvet Kittens as a featured burlesque dancer under the character name "Stevie Swan," and also choreographs for the VK variety shows.
Ms. Stewart is also co-designer of the VK specialty class, Balletlesque.
