Specializing in small to mid-sized venues where intimacy and taste are preferred over sheer volume, Q Lobster Jim is an eclectic DFW-based trio dedicated to breathing new life into a wide variety of vintage-vibed classic American genres.
The music draws its influences from Roots, Blues, Country, Tin Pan Alley, and Singer-Songwriter material. Also in the mix is a healthy dose of early ‘Sun years styled’ rockabilly and material recorded by Twang-inspired Honkey-Tonk Troubadors as well as Western Swing balladeers.
The group is comprised of Jeff Williamson (acoustic guitar, piano & vocals) James Miller (acoustic & electric guitars & vocals) and Jacob Martinez (upright bass), but may also include occasional guest performers who contribute vocals, fiddle, accordion, mandolin, harmonica, and/or horns.
